Liebherr’s Smart Device Box, which is housed in Monolith, allows users to connect and control their food storage with precision and to their preference from the convenience of their smart phone, tablet or Alexa-enabled devices. The owner can activate the refrigerator’s SuperCool and SuperFrost technologies that help consumers preserve the cold chain by temporarily drastically lowering the temperature within the refrigerator or freezer compartments. Monolith BioFresh Plus drawers add another dimension of climate control to the BioFresh system by allowing you to set temperatures inside the third drawer to as low as -2°C. When food is stored in these drawers, the precision technology kicks in to ensure the temperature is consistently maintained, which has proven to extend the freshness and flavors of exotic fruits and delicate seafood. Every Monolith refrigerator is fitted with FlexSystem, a simple-to-use flexible organisation system for sorting and separating items stored in whichever BioFresh bin you prefer. Monolith’s intuitive electronic touch-control panel, InfinitySwipe, features a full-colour 2.4-inch touch and swipe screen that’s bright, clean and wonderfully user-friendly. Like all good design, it’s a beautiful testament to the idea that less is, indeed, more. Monolith is a showcase the Liebherr high-performance PowerCooling system. In addition to including the exclusive SuperCool and SuperFrost rapid cooldown features, Liebherr have reinvented the interior of the Monolith to allow cold air to circulate behind the door. Which means items stored in the door stay just as cold as everything else in the refrigerator. The FreshAir activated charcoal filter system eliminates odours and purifies incoming air, so everything smells as fresh as it looks.

Monolith’s controllable InfinityLight casts beautiful and even side lighting that can be fine-tuned according to personal taste, including a soft brightening effect upon opening the doors and a pleasing night dimming feature. In London Monolith was introduced to the trade at an invite-only launch event in West London, where industry professionals were treated to a first look at Liebherr’s latest advancement in cooling technology.
