Fab38 Fridge, SMEG UK

Smeg, the luxury Italian appliances brand is world-renowned for its iconic 50s design, made famous due to the popularity of its range of FAB fridges launched in the late nineties.

The fridge/freezer is a vital part of any kitchen, ensuring your food is kept in prime condition, optimising freshness and reducing spoilage and potential waste. Thus allowing the hero status of the FAB fridge to take centre stage.

The newest addition to Smeg’s FAB family comes in the form of the eye-catching FAB38, which joins the line-up as one of the largest offerings within this range. At 70cm wide it sits between the supersize FAB50 (80cm wide) and the popular FAB32 (60cm wide). This extremely spacious addition has an overall net capacity of 461 litres – the equivalent of around 25 shopping bags. Plus, it can fit an extra 22 full-size bottles of water than our FAB32!

Its signature curves and elegant proportions allow for increased and much-needed refrigeration space, while remaining in-keeping with Smeg’s signature statement styling. Whatsmore, the FAB38 is the first time Smeg has added to its retro line-up in recent years, making it a pivotal launch for the brand.

The FAB38 offers both refrigerator and freezer space, both of which integrate the brand’s class-leading technology. From the newly introduced double side LED lighting and manual ice maker to no frost technology, this model has all the extras you need. Furthermore, the FAB38 provides a high spec veg box with humidity controller and 0-degree chiller, perfect for keeping foods fresher for longer and reducing waste. In addition, in this eco-conscious age it is important to note that Smeg’s FAB38 offers an A++ energy efficiency rating, while for a stylish flourish, internal chrome features have been installed on the drawers and wine racks.

Whether it’s to experiment with colour in the home or add a pop of personality to a neutral setting, Smeg’s FAB38 comes in a choice of four retro colours that lend themselves to the brands small appliances as well as its classic Victoria collection. The cult status of the FAB fridge and its popularity among the design conscious consumer makes it an extremely poignant product for the brand. Smeg recognised a gap in its current portfolio and produced this brilliant addition to meet the demand of the customer.
