How do I enter?
The entry process has changed slightly this year. You can enter online in three simple steps. Simply head to www.ertawards.co.uk. Select your categories (you can select multiple categories at the time of entering), supply your supporting information and media, and add your contact details.
For retailers – it’s important you write a great entry statement and provide any additional relevant information, such as your background, about your business and shopfloor, your staff or your customer service. All this goes in front of the judges for consideration, so don’t make it too long!
For manufacturers – provide as much information as you can about your products and services, or about your team members if it’s the Independent Sales Representative Award, but remember that retailers may be quite familiar with you and your brand so don’t go too mad!
There’s plenty of help and advice on the ERT Awards website: www.ertawards.co.uk. Look out for the top tips for entering on the Categories & Criteria page!
For more detailed information and the judging criteria for each of the award categories, you can visit the new ERT Awards website at: www.ertawards.co.uk.
The retailer categories will be judged solely by this year’s expert judging panel, while the manufacturer categories are voted for by retailers using the dedicated online form on the ERT Awards website: www.ertawards.co.uk.
By surveying the responses of ERT readers via this online platform, we will be able to get a definitive answer on who the best suppliers are, which new products have caught their imagination and which sales reps are really going the extra mile.
For the Sales Excellence Award, every independent salesperson who has scored three or more out of five in ERT’s very own Take A Town feature since June 2018 will automatically qualify for entry into this category. A shortlist will be drawn up and all the finalists will be contacted.
Every month, our mystery shopping team travels across the UK to check up on the sales skills of independents and multiples and reports its findings in ERT. From the dozens of businesses visited throughout the year, our mystery shoppers select the eventual winner for this category.
The entry process is now open and it closes on 4 June 2019.
Winners will be announced on Monday 7 October at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
